"Sunset in Bombay" (2023) is an original painting made in oil on canvas, created in a thick impasto impressionist style. It is inspired by my travels to Bombay, India, and its dusty skies that dissolve into impressionist-like pastel scenes over the Arabian sea. India's sun is a red one, with pollution fizzling around it, diffusing hazy and warm light around it as if in a desert. This is my way of capturing this serene yet lively atmosphere, a single speck of India's great beauty.
